Trombone, Euphonium, and Baritone Horn Lessons
Interested in low brass lessons? I have experience teaching trombone, baritone horn, and euphonium students in their first years of private instruction. My students love learning their favorite songs on their instruments. I believe music education should be fun, and I love sharing my joy of music with children and adult learners.
In my music lessons, we focus on the intersection of musicianship with proper technique. In beginning low brass lessons, we learn music from the classical canon and folk music from around the world. I also introduce music my students are passionate about, be it musical theater, rock, classic pop, soul, holiday, Disney, film music, or songs by their favorite bands.
As students progress in lessons, they learn longer works by classical titans such as Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky. I also introduce my low brass students to improvising music through playing jazz. I aim to foster my students' passion for creating and performing music they love.

Performance Opportunities
My students receive the opportunity to perform solo music in recitals. Since COVID began, we've already had two online recitals, which have been a complete success! Students love performing fun music for their family & friends, and parents love seeing their children develop valuable knowledge in practice strategies and public performance skills.
When Is The Right Age?
Some families wonder when is the right time for their child to begin taking low brass lessons. I recommend students age 9 and older who are interested in instruction to try out a lesson! I do not recommend children age 8 or younger play a low brass instrument because younger children are still losing baby teeth. While the bulk of my experience lies in instructing students age 9-14, I love the experience of working with high school aged and adult learners.
Questions about renting or buying a low brass instrument? I enjoy guiding families through the process of deciding what kind of used and new instruments to invest in.
